Ohio Chapter Meeting

This presentation will provide tools and practice to allow managers to have more effective conversations in areas of performance, behavior, attitude, and challenging situations that need to be addressed.

Many times managers know what they would like to be able to say to an employee, but how do they communicate in ways that leave the employee still motivated to make necessary changes? This course will help with those conversations and allow for an environment where issues are addressed.

• Learn basic principles that enhance difficult employee conversations
• Provide a framework for helping managers confront difficult conversations
• Provide tools that will assist managers in helping difficult conversations be successful
• Learn a basic model for providing performance feedback and general feedback to an employee
• Learn a model that allows for addressing inappropriate behaviors, appearance, attitude, etc.

Tom Ault is the Director of Technical Training and a Senior Training Consultant with ERC. Tom specializes in assisting organizations with a full spectrum of human resources projects, programs and training.
